AGM and Annual Rally - New dates 14-16 August

Post by Dougie » Tue Mar 17, 2020 6:36 pm

Due to the on-going corona virus pandemic we are left with no choice but to move the date of the AGM.
The decision has not been made lightly and I'm sure you'll understand the reasons behind it.
The club AGM and Annual Rally will now take place at Victoria Farm on the weekend of 14th-16th August 2020. The Stanford Hall show has also been postponed to this weekend so the convoy will still take place.
This was the date of the Tech weekend which has unfortunately had to be cancelled this year.

We are working hard to ensure everything we had planned is moved to the new dates.

I can only apologize for the problems this will cause for those who have to book holidays and ferries again, but it really is beyond our control.
It will still be the same brilliant weekend, hopefully more chance of the sun shining...

Thats a blow, but not unexpected.
Would Vic Farm be open as a campsite, that weekend? (Assuming we are allowed to move around by then)??

If you mean the new date, then yes, Vic Farm is booked.

No Jim, i meant would Vic Farm be open as a campsite on the original agm weekend in May.
On the off chance we are allowed out of our houses.
I know several people who would jump at the chance to just have a campout that weekend.

You would need to contact Eddy direct for that. I'm pretty sure there is a Victoria Farm website with contact details.

It's unfortunate, but with so many weekends being lost at the start of the season the new dates of a lot of shows are going to cause clashes with others. The new AGM dates coincide with the new Stanford Hall date so the convoy can go ahead.

It's in the calendar!
Lets hope it's all over by then and we can still enjoy most of the camping season.
Stay safe!

I think a few years ago at Viccy Farm is one of the coldest I’ve ever been in a bus so August sounds great to me!
