Recommendation please - someone to fit new front shocks (Dorset)

Post by Cl1ffy » Sun Feb 09, 2020 9:55 am

We bought our ‘67 splitty, Gertrude, last summer

The front shock absorbers are pretty awful.

We’re in Bournemouth, van currently in dry-storage just outside Salisbury (good job too - pretty apocalyptic out there today!)

Can anybody recommend (a) where we should buy the shocks (Creative Engineering in Blandford have been really helpful - all other recommendations welcome and (b) someone not too far away to fit them for me?

Thanks very much...

1. Why do you think the shocks need changing..... (I bet they don't)

2. Save yourself some money and do it yourself. Its only 2x bolts and 4x nuts......

@vwJim because the ride is bloody awful...

I would, but at the moment I’m working 50-60 hours a week and no spare time...

I doubt shocks are the cause.
