Swedish import,has the suicide cab door.
All original interior still,covers are to protect them.( Door panels are new,but have the original ones if u want)
4" narrowed and lowered beam.
Running on empi sprintstar alloy wheels 5j.
Roof rack is not included in the sale.
Did have the 59 seam welded truck gates,but they were stolen a long time ago,(hence old picture in red and black( back when I bought it in 2005)
Tilt and bows come with the sale( the canvas on the back)
No repro crap here,proper German steel.
dove blue,mostly original,some blending has been done.
Vin plates states that the bus was produced in December of 59.but the dvla have registered it 1960.
Running a 1600 twinport engine,which is running sweet.
Very RARE bus nowadays,don't see them come up for sale very often, especially in this condition.1959 was the first year the double cab was made,before that it was only the bins crew cab.
Obviously welding work has been undertaken.to a GD standard back in 2007.(see pic of underside)
Been on the road for 12 years now.
Everything was in great working condition or new back in 2007.
Still going strong now.
Every bit and bolt was replaced.
Running a bay window tank,as they are much bigger.
Original cab seats,with storage under them.
Original front seats.
Original sekurit windows.
Us spec bumpers,and deluxe trim all round.all original german made aluminum.

This is a 1960 MY although possibly built in 1959. 1960 was the 1st year for a VW produced double cab, anything prior was coach built by Binz.
