Question for the buffers out there...

Centre brake light on a 59? Thought they ended in 58?

I think the bus looks lovely but purists will raise a few issues with details.. https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewt ... p?t=319197

So out of interest, what would the value of this bus be if it was built to original spec.

Usually higher, if German / best parts used.

Hello Jim,
Thanks for the input. I have been inquiring about this subject as it really made me concerned. After speaking with the VW automuseum in Germany and the american restorer who did the bus in the states...the engine lid and rear valance are correct. These were modified on July 59...This bus is from June 59 so the parts are apparently correct.

Thanks.

:)
