58 split bus gearbox, drive shafts, drums complete

Post by Whisper » Tue Jul 09, 2019 10:51 am

Just doing a straight axle conversion on my 1958 splitscreen so I’ll have a complete gearbox, drive shafts, reduction boxes and hubs etc available soon!

They will need a clean etc but they are all complete from a running on the road bus!

Because I’m not going to spend any time on them I’ll let it all go for £300 (no offers) if you need a early gearbox nose then Kris just up the road from me has one for sale.

Collection is from Royal Wootton Bassett.

Pics to follow as soon as I’ve finished the conversion.

I appreciate that you haven't removed it yet but do you have the serial number of the gearbox? Also, can I assume that you're not including the nosecone?

The gearbox numbers are:

35 113301103 D

There is no nose cone included but Kris has one that he wants £100 for, I can arrange for it to be here if you want it 👍

I think that's a Beetle gearbox judging by that part number, it was raised rather than stamped I'd guess. Can you see the stamped-in serial number?
