Engine mounting bolts

Post by JonnyCJ » Thu Aug 09, 2018 7:43 am

Putting my engine back in after replacing all the tin with OG.

I have 3 bolts all sorted, but want to ensure that the 4th bolt (top left looking from the rear) goes in as it should without stripping the thread on the bellhousing.

What’s the best way to get this in correctly ? I’m thinking to have the other bolts very lightly done up so the engine can move a bit ?

Cheers

Jonny

When you've pushed the engine into the bellhousing, the top bolt will line up without any issue. Just wind it in with you fingers.

Ok - thanks Jim. I'm all snug in the bellhousing so will get it sorted this evening.
