Hi all.
Just had my 66 welded and painted by a great guy in Plymouth called Mark Rawlings, whos business is called Rawsteel. 07543630288
I'm a bit of a picky C-word when it comes to welding and paint but he was highly recommended down this way. He's been doing classic cars and hot rods for about 30 years, done plenty of buses too.
He has started out on his own and has a little unit, charges £30 and hour and is great to work with, very helpful and friendly, lots of updates and pics of what he's done, I felt I really got great value for money which is rare these days.
He is a one man band and is trying to get off the ground going it alone instead of working for somebody else.
So if you need anything doing from just a tiny repair to a full resto and repaint then give him a shout, it would be such a shame to see him go under from lack of work.
Interestingly his brother runs Rawspeed in Plymouth and builds the engines for the chisel 356 replicas, has a dyno there too.
Cheers Rob

Yeah I wanted to do it when I did the bus years ago but never got it done, so when she needed some sills and bits I couldn't face doing it all due to lack of time and facilities so found Mark and he fabbed up the walkthrough, just got the little passenger seat brackets from Butty's bits. Really pleased with it and so practical.
