Where necessary, the bolts of the new steering system are secured now and checked everything again.
Finally the first ride with the new front suspension!
Here is a summary of the cons and pros of the RED 9 Design design.
Cons:
- Not cheap,
- Larger turning circle,
- More steering wheel turns needed,
- Horn must be connected differently from original.
Pros:
- The bus steers noticeably lighter,
- No play in steering system,
- Turns and roundabouts are much easier,
- Relaxed steering even at 100 km/h,
- Better suspension/damping, so bumps can be taken faster.

After the ride, rinsed well before the bus is parked for the winter.

Unfortunately we can't see any of your pictures, maybe that's why there are no comments?

Because the RED9 steering rod in the cabine isn't hollow, the push button in the steering wheel can't be connected for activating the horn.
I bought a Wireless Wizard kit for €30,31 including shipping and did some modifications with it.
From the universal control button I removed the housing and broke away parts of the plastic around the circuit board.
Unfortunately also the original horn button had to be sacrificed, some pieces of plastic inside have been removed.
When the horn button is now pressed, the button of the universal control is pressed against the RED9 steering rod and so I can activate the horn. Just tested with a light on my workbench and its functional. :-)
