Red9design outer steering column

Post by 58splitty »

Hello,
Just a quickie, on the outer column it has a needle bearing in one end, does this go at the top near the steering?

Cheers

The spring which originally went under the steering wheel on the column, is this needed with the new column or does this now become redundant?

I guess the fitting instructions haven't improved much ;-)

I can't remember. If the column retains the factory style bearing + collar, then the spring in definitely required as the spring pushes the collar into the gap in the bearing to eliminate movement.
