Thanks to the winner of June's VOTM, John TC, for this month's theme, so let's see those pictures of the first day of ownership of your current bus.

Well let's start this off then.

I picked our bus up on a Friday morning from Sutton in Ashfield and spent the next two hours smiling but petrified, a quick stop at the services on the A38/A50 where I met some new friends, I liked the colour of that bay!

So I got her home and decided to change a few things, the previous owner had some great stickers but that was his fun, not mine so I took some photos before I removed them all.

A bit of a clean up, then got her packed up and when Lisa and the kids got back from school we headed off on our first camping trip, less than 7 hours after getting her home we were setup for the weekend.

Day i picked up my single cab,been sat in a barn,then lock up for over 23 years!

Is it deja vu from last month....

Here we are picking up the bus from where it had been in a barn for 10 years.

Then to discover it was a magazine feature back in 2005ish

But the dog didn't care when we got it home he found a place to sleep and has been there ever since

After 18 months or so looking, here is my new van delivered from Cornwall.

Amazing history and never been welded. Imported from Utah in 2008. Totally original and loads of spare parts.
Original sale receipt and everything documented to amazing detail. This bus has also been in magazine article in 2012
Just can't wait to get her all legal.

Here's the first day of my bus ownership - quite literally !

Paid the deposit the morning of the day my wife gave birth to little Sam 4.5 yrs ago

Bus arrived 4 days later

Needed a bit of work but pretty solid overall

4 years later..

Sam's come along a bit as well !
