Mart's theme for June is original UK buses, don't need to be stock but have to be originally supplied to the UK, so let's see them!

My 65 single cab, supplied by a Kent dealer, used on a farm in kent for a few years till had an engine problem, was then stuck in the back of a barn where it sat around 24 years, found about 8 years ago by friend of farmers son when helping clear the farm after farmers death. Since had minor welding, brakes renewed, original 1500sp re-built ,otherwise as found. Was covered in thick clay underneath which think protected it,only 58k on clock.

Not sure where to start but as Rosie was purchased new in Colchester which is 15 miles from where I live and has always been in this area (the furthest away from me was 9 miles) so that seems like she fits the original UK criteria :)

We have owned Rosie since 1987 and my family have grown up with her. Some people will know our story but needless to say Rosie is a well loved member of our family. We have been all over the UK had lots of trips to Germany, France, Holland, Austria and passed through many countries. Some trips have been trouble free and others a bit of a nightmare. Many fantastic memories have been made over the years.

Terry, lovely bus. I know quite a few people that would pay handsomely for that table ;)

Cheers, Lee.

Thank you Lee. Table is not without some damage (but due to being used so much) all legs etc fine and working just some edge damage :)

On my drive to Lavenham in Rosie on Saturday morning I passed Penny Pots Cottage, nr Halstead (which is where she was first owned) and gave a sound on the horn just to say, Hi!! Unfortunately the original owner died just after we got the van nearly 30 years ago :(
