Re: Worlds fastest bus
As it's not a 1/4 mile drag but on the flat at Bonneville I reckon a good few of us BWA with the right gearing could reach 130mph plus. After all you have all day to get there
Be cool to see this though.

Amazing looking challenge. I hope that they document it well for us all to enjoy over here.

Re: Worlds fastest bus
I just read the article, good to see Steve from wolfgang is involved, I called in at his shop when i was over in California and he's a great guy, helped me out a load and showed his work shop.
I think his the man for the job seeing as he does drag racing and sells his vw engines with a lifetime unlimited mileage guarantee on his rebuild engines -and the temps over there in the summer get to 50-would you get that over here .......I think not.
I'll be following this for sure.

Re: Worlds fastest bus
Is 130 in a bus really a record?
I would have thought some of the Porsche powered buses would be up at those sorts of speeds. What about the Taxi? That goes round Spa with a Porsche on its heels for a good lap. Maybe top speed isn't there. The cornering certainly is!
Anyway, good luck with the record attempt.
(Goes back to his own splitty at 55/60mph !!!!!)

I reckon mine would do 130 mph but I would only attempt it on a super smooth road surface in a dead straight line.
Gets a bit twitchy @ 100mph as it is !!
