Good news with the driveshafts at least.

Sounds like your spacer issue is sorted too.

I don't know what a charge cooler is but I'm sure you'll sort it.

Keep going. We're getting closer to that beer

Howdi pal, afraid not, my dad had a huge heart attack about 3 and a half weeks ago completely out of the blue as a result of an asthma attack. He's pulled through but only just, so I haven't even thought about it since.

Its been a bit of a blur to be honest. Dads been out of hospital for a week and living with us, and is getting stronger bit by bit. Wether he makes it back up to the workshop again or not is waaay down the line yet, so the thought of me going up is a bit too much to take at present as it was always a thing we did together.

Its not the end, just a bit of a ripple in the plan again, Im sure we will be up there again soon.

Cheers for all of the kind words guys. Dad is recovering well, he needs to get his fitness back and his strength, he's lost nearly 2 stone and was a skinny whippet before so looks a bit like Gollum now :0 He appreciated the kind words too, I told him you guys were wishing him the best.

He is back home, we decorated the entire house within three weeks, so Im nakkered, but also excited about getting back to it on the bus. I popped up yesterday for a couple of hours, and it has reignited the love affair with her... I need this thing to be done!!

Yes glad to hear he is on the mend...

Weight loss at ' mature years' can take its toll.

It can take a while to regain and get over the shock..
Yes hope he gets his get up n go back..

Cheers for the kind comments about dad, he's getting there, even popped up to the workshop for 15 mins just to say hi, and make sure I hadn't test driven his ghia ;) so he is doing well!

Fair bit of progress made yesterday and a little bit on Saturday evening, built up rear rhs, shortened the handbrake cable, modded the ally plate under the airbag to match the other side, and got the rear wheel on.

Today I managed to spray the rest of the affected panels with the mango, they came out ok, so at the end of the day after fitting the steering rack back on and making sure all of the underneath is tidy and tight, I took it off the roll hoops...

Im super happy with the stance, just need to blend all the paint to match and do a few tweaks to the left hand door to get it to fit right.

I had a bit of a mare with the wheels, so they got painted satin black :( they were originally detailed fuchs, but I messed up, so for now they are getting pinstriped with a Mango and Seagull line, and a little pinstriped design on one of the hearts on each wheel and then a coat of Matte Lacquer. Once its on the road, I will detail them properly, or knowing me, end up with a different set of wheels altogether ;)

Progress at last!!

Well done fella', looks fantastic.

Won't be too long before you can try out alongside your dad in his Ghia [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Might make for an interesting race.......

Im hoping it will destroy dads Ghia, its a father / son engine build off, to prove us young'uns know as much as the old'uns. He is an IDA man, Im a TB man.

I have been known to eat my words though ;) ;)
