'66 13 Window Delux

Been doing this project for a while now and thought it would be cool to start a thread about it.

How it looked when I picked it up:

US spec, originally exported to California. I picked up the van and started the project in summer 2010

What is surely a typical find during the stripdown!

After the van was fully stripped down the next stage was to bare metal it:

Two close ups of some of the areas needing work:

Some of the metalwork repairs:

CE IRS conversion:

Once all the metalwork was done, I took the van away to be zinc sprayed. Should now be rust resistant and provides an excellent surface for prep and paint!:

This took up until Summer 2013. Prep for paint begain shortly afterwards:

Just today (7th Jan 2014) van went onto a roller for easy work on the roof and chassis:

Feel free to ask me any questions about the van/build/parts used/final spec etc, hope this is of interest to everyone.

Ha ha, yeh at first it looks farely decent but it was definiately a project from the word go. The paint was crap, interior was knackered and the brakes didn't work!
