I'm down grading my company car as it now sits there all weekend as we are often out in the bus ........ No point in having these toys if ya ant going to use them hu :wink:

Totally agree. We must be mad eh? I drove it through a flooded road on the way back. Only about 6" deep, but great fun none the less. No photos as I didn't want to get my feet wet!

Ahhh - the benefits of a stock ride height.... Shame about the fuel consumption :?

The garage has now risen from the ashes and is currently owned by AEG selling modern motor homes

Following on from Rich Oakleys comments on the original garage, here's how it looks now.
The rendering at the foot of the building shows where the original garage doors were.
The Hansons pub to the right still stands as can be seen, but is boarded up

The 'newer' VW garage shown on the archive Hart photography pics is literally just round the corner

Great stuff! I love researching the history of my bus. Hopefully I'll be doing a trip to its Black Country origins this year - I'll give you a shout.
