Early start with a wee tweak to cabinet getting it re fitted. Temporary built it several years back to see how it worked for future plans. Once vf out the way plan is to make a new one incorporating a seat and different storage.

Image

Got boards on rear seat with a temporary front panel. Plan is a curved front but again job for after vf.

Image

Pick up foams to make temporary seat then can return them and boards 1st week of May to upholsterer.

Wrestled cargo door seals & after a while worked out what was throwing them out. Generally needed to get top and bottom fitted then it pulled straight. Doddle when you find the knack.

Checked o/s wheel bolts with next job shift trix over check n/s bolts and fit n/s cab door seal.

Then is out for a shake down cruise.

Weyhaaaaaaaaaaaaay done it.

Lol every day is an adventure in a bus, so yep cruising chilling grinning grrrrrring swearing crying but still just about smiling. All to be revealed so grab a cuppa and some biscuits but save me a few I'm partial to them as mark knows.

My day was finish a lovely quiet night shift, so home quick cuppa finishing of last few n/s jobs put tools in the back and hit the road.

Ooooo that felt so nice, no creaks or groans no wind whistles no drafts just the flat four heart beating away in the back as she does.

San wanted to refresh all camping cutlery so rather than the store 2 miles down the road lets do a 100 mile round trip to Maidstone. Oh there is a god I'm thinking to myself.

Sun gleaming of the new white dash bugger remember sun glasses next time.

Now it's raining, bugger forgot rainex.

Now it snows ffs

Anything else yep nice stone chip on A post but I'm wearing that splitty smile with pride.

That 50 miles passed real quick so parked up. Snap goes the lock toggle on back of push button, no real drama just had to stay put whilst San shopped. Deprived though of walking back across car park admiring my shinny pride and joy.

So purpose of journey materialising with also steering box needing a we tweek as now have some play.

Headed back now via a chip shop as kids thru in a request.

Mmmmm that didn't feel right click and clutch pedal went to floor with no resistance. Yep bugger, a quick look underneath and clutch cable still attached and doing what it should so knew I couldn't fix that road side.
Choice was few hours wait for RAC or

Image

Luckily only 1 mile from home so a quick call & my father in law grabbed my van and dragged us home. :(

6 of us tried pushing trix but drive is to steep so neighbour grabbed his winch and dragged her upwards.

Was running out of time as on nights at 6 but 20 minutes and dropped engine out. Knew it was clutch or release bearing related and don't believe that should be there.

Image

Luckily that's all the damage and a snapped release bearing prong.

So a simple shake down cruise puts the pressure back on when it was going to be a breeze.

Didn't really want the engine here

Image

But all easily fixable

Only pic I got outside as weather was crap, funny bright light or you understand the rest.

Image

Gutty but far better than other prospect as would of been 1/2 way round M25 Friday in rush hour and heading home dejected on a flatbed.

Good old trix does give us an adventure bless the old girl.

Lol thanks ted but trix will most likely stay put in lower field. Had never planned to enter resto of year and plus interior is make shift so will do her no justice.
Personally I have all the reward I need as have just total self pride knowing everything I've done myself and am truly chuffed to bits with what I've achieved.
But please come & say hello though.
