OK Enough of the messing about lets get back to Silou's bus
Not a fantastic amount of progress for the time spent
,But well worth the effort i think
Image
Decided the engine bay needed some attention, who ever sprayed it in the past,
sprayed silver paint over existing, oil and grime, the paints reacted against each other
and had started to flake and peel
Image
Not the best area to think about bare metal, but hey ho
more to follow, sorry about the tiny pics but can't enlarge for some reason, taken and sent with iphone
Cheers Marco will try not to forget camera again

Nice progress
Love these pictures too, a real work of art.
As Spence said, looks like Velvet Green originally, is it going back to it's old colour?
Very thorough work, nice one! 8)

Hi all after going to tonys workshop last night i had to come on and say a few words about this bus .the bus has had so many really bad repairs in its time i am shocked it was even on the road .it has been hit in the side so hard the jacking point was about 3" back and had a bit just lashed in to make it level not to say about the 3" of filler.and the front has been pushed back that hard the seat mount has a inprint of the door piller in it .i take my hat of to tony he has put so much work into that van it will be one nice job when its done lots of hard work has gone into it (graft not filler ) its good to see some people do care about what they do.
Ps i was there the first day the van came into tonys and remeber saying thats nice and clean not much to do on that one tony .how wrong was i.."
Good luck with tony keep up the good work see you again soon.

Nice work Tony. Only just seen this thread. Tittle says its a freshen up, looks more like a full restore to me. Looking good.

Well, once you find 13 layers of paint, there is no way anyone who cares anything about their work, could just rub down and blow over,I do tend to get carried away, don't think I will ever make money, but the satisfaction means more to me.
Will sort some more photos soon.
