64 11-window

Post by shambly »

Having lurked for a while, bought a splittie and joined the club i thought it about time for an introduction :)

We bought a well looked after older restoration late last year with the intention of just using it; a 16 month old makes our home-built Chesil Speedster a somewhat less practical option for family weekends out and about these days.

The camper already has early bay IRS, and an uprated engine.

Only plans for it are for a brake upgrade (servo+discs), raising the ride height a smidge/higher profile front tyres (to improve the ride), and, more major, a new camping interior (steering towards the traditional oak devon style, especially to sleep 2+1).

Still getting up the learning curve so no doubt alot of posts to follow...

A long overdue update.

We've split the work over two springs (using it in between) but thanks to Darren & Tracy at Kustom Interiors who made the wooden devon-inspired furniture and Katie at Totally Trimmed who did the rest of the interior we now have our dream bus interior. 8)

I've also fitted the discs / servo, and R&P so it drives and stops well too. Currently building a 2270cc Type IV with half an eye on BWA.
