Hey Deano, going the stock 'look' but not salt and pepper, Grey with white pipping, like some other kombi seats I had. I spoke about doing my BD seat 'original' and they seemed cool with that, I will post update pics

OK so the MOT never happened as one of the king pins was shot. I picked up my new recond king pins from Rusting Hulk aka Steering Guru aka Simon Hitchman at Dub Freeze - cheers Si!

Have fitted one side today and will do the other tomorrow. When I was working on the bus an old chap stopped and asked what year it was, he explained he had just had a picture blown up for his granson of him and one of the vw buses he had whilst based in Germany as a squadie, he said the piture was taken in '53 and there were a fleet of these buses!!!

Whilst you lucky people were at Vic Farm / Stanford Hall. I was underneath the westy fitting a new streeting pin and bushes. Armed with my trusty John Muir book I found this to be a straight forward process. Dad had made me a drift at work which had been turned down on a lathe and this made removing the old bushes very easy. Again Dad also come up trumps 'borrowing' an adjustable reamer.

Ok so I've checked brakes and lights etc and now the westy is ready for the MOT - at last! FIngers crossed and I should have a new cert soon!

:( SOLD :(

Gone to a really nice family which is cool but I am gutted, my eldest cried as it drove off and I'm still wondering if I've done the right thing, I loved that bus, done so much work on it, have some great memories though.

Next the SC then must finish the BD.
