Glad he's enjoying himself, my dads the same, never at home. Looks like you will finish your BD before me! Everything goes at 'dead slow' in mid Wales  Bring some of those gloves to HO :)

After 10 years of ownership I still havent been able to free and get out the torsion bars from the bd  In addition on espring plate was jammed on and removing it resulted in damage to the torsion bar

What to do...

Well thanks to 686 bus-boy I now have a replacemnt set of torsion bars - many thanks Steve

Image

This is all new to me having had stock buses for 15 years but it was interesting to see the inner spline (bottom) is narrower the the outside sping plate spline

Image

I have also got the centre gearbox mount from Volksheaven, as you can see I've cleaned up the bit that I need!

Image

You dont see this very often, the inner spline (torsion bar tube)...clean factory welding.....not

Image

So now just got to travel up to Bristol to swap out the centre front mount 8O

the BD's interior was delivered today, (thanks buzz & Johnny). Having seen Mike1973's I had to have one, so it was straight to the tip for the westy springframe

BD should be back on it wheels in two weeks and down to Devon next month 8)
