Wow your one talented motivated guy. It's an inspiration for those trying to use space or lack of it as a reason not to get cracking. Me included lol

Good progress going on there mate 8)
Now you've got the garage space any chance I can come and dump some of my collected junk in it for storage? I imagine Graham t21f wouldn't mine some storage space as well

Lol even after the garage is missing a bus it's amazing how quickly an empty space fills up! Now it has doors, bumpers, windows and a gearbox which will need a straight axle job doing to it. Watch this space

Drilled hole for one eyed duck and bought some rear lights from Busfest, first time they have been test fitted since I cut out the hole but they both fitted well.

Shot blaster missed a few bits in the engine bay so after a bit of sanding and some fertan I gave it another coat of epoxy.

Prepping roof and cab area for colour next week!

And painting the straight axle parts ready to tackle the gearbox. Got new bearings and gaskets but I'm expecting a bun fight.

It cleaned up well so I'll leave it as is. It's a bit of a gearbox gamble as it was given to me in unknown condition. All the selectors work, the drive shafts turn and the clutch leaver is free so fingers crossed it's a good one.

Started deconstruction and the first problem was one of the bearings was stuck on but found a puller and eventually it came off.
Image

I found when putting the axle tubes on they would get tight when I knocked the bearings into the carrier but after turning the axle it all freed up so it was a case of tap/turn tap/turn until bearing was seated.
Image

Gearbox fitted into the bus with no problems and I was always concerned the gear shift tube might not line up with the nose cone but it was spot on and the axle tubes were on the correct side. Phew.

When I fitted the spring plates to the carriers I found there was a big gap between the two...
Image

But after a few facebook posts (thanks guys) I was told not to worry as it was normal.

Was not sure how high to put the spring plate on the torsion tube but after a call to T2D they recommend around a 10mm gap up from the bottom of the torsion tube.

And finally four wheels on the bus. I still have to clean up and install the back plates but at least the bus can roll now.

Oh is that a standard red 9 disk and adapter, the inner studs look like porsche but they must be bay.
I've got Porsche hubs so I've not seen a standard one.
