Didn't fancy just dropped spindles and a couple of splines at the rear, no?

Awesome build, all those little bits of head scratching and modifying that people don't realise when they see the finished result

Thanks guys.
It would have been wayyyyyy easier to have just built a totally custom chassis.
But I was determined to keep the original barndoor layout.

If your wondering. It's at about 3/4 suspension height. Perfect amount of travel. :D

Well the original cab doors are still to go on. The ones in the pics are Jeffs. Then it's patina blend, blend, blend! Might be a hell of challenge though! But when has that stopped me before

3/4 up or 3/4 down?

Looks really good and could happily drive that height

3/4 up. Fully down you wouldn't be able to put your finger under the sill
Fully up I recon it'll be higher then most the splits you see about today.

The focus is on Hesissch buses at the moment. Rightly so. But the 52 has still made some exiting progress.

This is not quite full drop. The front is still an inch off the deck. Interior weight should take care of that. Or a lower profile tyre.

Image

The rear is on the torsion ends. I plan on these wearing down, so another centimetre or two drop here too.

Floors in. No body drop visible 8)

Gearbox tucked away nicely. And rear tubs prep'd.

Even put the floor in under the hydraulics. From underneath you will never be able to tell how the suspension is adjustable 8)
