Panel Van stolen in Sheffield 14/07/09

Post by rickyday33 » Tue Jul 14, 2009 7:25 am

Our just finished panel van was stolen off my parents driveway at 3am last night. 3 "hoodies" were seen pushing it off the road before they started it and drove off.

Here are some pictures

the amount of our own blood, sweat and tears that has go in to that van is heartbreaking. My Dad never gets upset but he was when he had to tell me this morning.

It was a double door '66 with Bullet indicator conversion.
beige porsche seats in the front
Full rock and roll bed in back.
Beige cream mad matz tiles in back.
Twin Kadrons on a 1600 tp.
Creative steering rack.
Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel.
Double side steps.
BRM Wheels,
1 silver BRM Spare wheel.
5 bow Roof rack.
Big Stereo,
2 tv screens.
Front and back safari windows.

PLEASE KEEP A LOOK OUT

REWARD GIVEN!!!

it is insured but this van means so much more than money to us.

Eyes peeled in North Yorkshire fella. So sorry to hear about another stolen bus. Sadly this seems to be getting more common. :(

It is a pretty distinctive bus being a 66 with bullets, fingers crossed she will reappear in the VW scene.

GLad they have found it, but I think you are crazy leaving a split bus on a drive without an alarm and an immobiliser.

Admittedly an immobiliser is quite easy to defeat, but additional steps can be taken (like removing the rotor arm or the main coil lead)

thanks

I think we know we did wrong...... I have a tracker, cat1 alarm immobiliser with proxy sensors and a disk lock on my bus so we are fully aware what we need now!!

If you had an alarm why didn't it go off then? (or have you got another split as well?)

I have seen a few poorly fitted CAT1 alarms on buses (they haven't had pin switches put on the doors)

Stole my Teng socket set, Ratchet spanners and trolley jack.
She's on axel stands at the moment as I'm fitting disc brakes.
