Help identifying interior

Post by animal »

Hi - I'm helping someone with a few splitscreen bits from clearing their parents house. They remember their father removing the interior when the bus body became too bad to fix and the interior has been stored for a long time since.

Does anyone recognise this interior ? - no suggestion that it is homemade but I've not seen it in person yet so apologies for the printed photos.

Cheers

No detailed knowledge but that cooker was used in several. Canterbury Pitt (with sink) and Moortown for example!

Thanks good call on Moortown - I have now found a picture with that cooker on a Moortown conversion but no luck on matching the interior with Canterbury Pitt/devon/danbury - The rear cooker and vintage sink set up along with the cupboard unit are puzzling me, bed looks familiar. Of course, it could be a mix and match.

Both Moortown and Pitt are possibilities. Pitt early conversions were fitted to several other commercial vehicles. Commer Ford Thames etc.
The only way to tell is to attempt to get access and lay it all out in correct layout drawers and cooker look rear access.
Is first picture tall cupboard on its side?

Added a few better photos of the cooker/sink set up which have been sent on- looks like the cupboard could be the rear locker with its curved shape

That interior looks a bit like one that Devon conversions made for the Austin/Morris J4 vans. Your parents may have modified it the fit a split bus.

Interesting, the chaps' dad have a couple of Morris 8's and there was a lot of Morris stuff still left - not my parents but I decided not to take the interior (space) and recommended the owner keeps it - so it is now in Bristol, but I am still in touch if anyone is interested in it. Cheers
