body stamp!

hi again , ive just uncovered a factory body stamp mark in the rear arch of my 56 single cab . any ideas as to what it could be? , can email pics if anyone could put them up on here . kind regards neil

No idea, but I've got a late '56 Single Cab, so I'm intrigued. I'll PM you my email and I'll post it up, or if you have a PC or Mac

Email it to yourself
Save it to your desktop
Reply to this post
Click the 'Full Editor & Preview' button under the editing window
Click the 'Attachments' tab below the new (full) editing window
Click the 'Add files' button in the Attachments tab
In the file upload window, navigate to where you saved the pic on your desktop and click Open on the upload window
Go back to the Attachments tab below the editing window and click the 'Place inline' button
You'll see text like this [ attachment = 0 ]<your file name>[ / attachment ] but without the spaces.
Click 'Submit' on the three buttons below the edit window

Sorry it's rotated. It displays the right way up when I open it from my desktop.

Is it only on one side? I only have an image of the other side on my phone, but it doesn't have that stamp...

Have you stripped the paint/primer off that area? It looks like the stamp is a manufacturing mark for the steel.

Also, what colour are/were the upper and undersides of your '56?

the truck was undersealed from factory , this came off without a fight leaving this stamp marking . the truck is dove blue .
