Bets place to mount an electric fuel pump?

Post by 63CorvairSplit » Mon Jun 23, 2014 6:26 pm

Hi,

Going to be fitting an electric fuel pump to my van this week and was wondering where the best place to fit it is?

Its a bit tight in there to drill holes for a mount with the electric drill!

Also, which pumps and mounts did you use?

Cheers, Mike

Personally I like the CB rotary vane pumps and dislike the noisy facet pumps.

I mount them on the inside of the gearbox cradle, right up high, with a rivnut most of the time.

cheers - i was literally just looking at the cb performance rotary one.

When you say the gearbox cradle - do you mean the long curved support that goes under the forks and connects up to the body on either side?
