'67 11W Ready for the Season - Price Drop

Post by BigOldMac » Tue Oct 16, 2018 7:57 pm

Hello,

Well, my new bus is now roadworthy, so after 5 years of happy camping my German Made '67 11W will have to surrender it's garage space.

It's totally rock solid throughout had a light restoration shortly before I bought it, and I've looked after it since, including returning it to a stock height and suspension set-up.

Originally a dry state US bus, since I've had it I've spent many thousands on sensible upgrades. These include;

- Front brakes upgraded to CSP disks
- Steering box replaced by Wolfgang international unit
- Gearbox is VW heritage unit with less than 2000 miles on it
- Engine is leak free 1600 with no end float, has been compression tested and resealed.
- Leisure battery with inverter + USB points
- Currently enjoying a full service and new carb fitted.

There are no bodges and shortcuts made on this bus. It's been maintained with the safety of my family in mind.

In the last 5 years it's done around 5,000 miles and with one exception (which was avoidable as I now know - coil) it's always got us to where we are going and back comfortably.

The paint is good, but not perfect. There are a couple of areas that could do with. touch up and one cargo door was resprayed a little off colour, but absolutely nothing serious and nothing hidden.

It's a great rock-solid bus designed to be used. NO RUST !!

Pm me for more details.

Regarding price, I've taken advice from those in the trade as well as looking at what is on the market. It is therefore realistically priced at £26,000k.

Hi, sorry for delay was abroad. Well, I've been wavering on whether to sell or not over the last couple of months as I have another bus which might go instead, but if it goes for the right money, then yes. P.M me for more details if you are interested. Thanks
