Early Gear stick

Post by Vinda76 »

Does anyone have a pre 59 straight gear stick they would like to sell? I'm after the stick, spring, spring housing and reverse lock out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Doug,

I'm no expert, however, early gearstick was located closer to the seat, so had a straight stick. The ball is smaller than later ones (16mm? compared with 21mm?) with no locating bar (the part that stops later sticks from rotating).

Look like you need a straight stick, 16mm ball, no locating pin. Mine are 22mm balls with locating pins so won't fit.
