Have 1961 brochure...and a scale rule!
Not many around...may not be a 61...

Hi,
Just purchased a 63 bus here in Australia that I think is a Moortown! It's original and has missing parts etc. Can anyone help me authenticate it and I was wondering how many are left?

Very few!
Rear upright shelf and upper divider certainly look like a Moortown. The pull out side bed is identical to the two Moortowns I know of from 63.
It is a division bus?
Even the detail of the catch on the front holding the lid open is identical to the 63 which surfaced recently.
If you can open a photobucket site and post lots of pictures?

Typically Moortown had two badges, a transfer on the rear hatch lid and a metal plaque badge rivetted with two rivets onto the dash. Pm to pics sent.

Some more photos , if the link doesn't work let me know.
From the photos I've seen posted the interior matches moortown and is fitted neatly, all with old strait slot screws. Hinges, latches, match other pics that I've seen, some old red and black lino squares under cupboards, plate and cup holders have a green spray on felt like finnish etc.
There are remnants of a cloth headliner! and no holes in the dash for the badge?
M 543 means the bus was supplied without seating in loading and England delivered factory RHD
Thanks for you help
Cheers Shane
