Which Westfalia is this?

If you're the sort of perso who thinks that Westfalias are nice, you might want to pop inside.

'55/'56 Westfalia Camping Box Export model

Often referred to as the 'springframe kit' - since the beds are metal frames with springs between them (and there are early and late bedframe spring-types too). The cargo door cupboard is not standard equipment in the Export version - but is in the Standard model - so was probably an option. That light (I assume it's a spotlight) wired into the interior light is non-standard - not usually into accessories but that looks really good though! The roofrack from this era is different to later years also - that's a rare bit of kit.

It's a Westfalia-painted bus in those pictures too - delivered in primer from VW and painted by Westfalia.

Those pictures are superb, and that bus looks so good! Never seen those pictures in a brochure though, at least not in any of the brochures of this era that I know of.

Thanks for posting :D

Ah yes....It does..
It is only when you look closely at the pictures do thd puzzles appear!
Table hinged from front furniture held in sn aright position by a strap. With table leg at right angles across the bus. Rear cabinet structure...accessible from the rear...
Made me wonder about rear visibility and....

No there is not an interior mirror...just exterior mirrors...
Amazing how strange that seems..
