Show us your Gaydon

Post by Rippers » Fri Nov 30, 2012 5:26 pm

Pretty much got all of what I was after apart from the bloody mugs!

Has anyone else got some nice sets in their Devons? Saw a few at different shows throughout the year.

I'll post a pic of what I've accumulated later, not that I can ever see myself using them them by favorite pieces are a NOS set of napkin rings in their cardboard box

Did they all come with what they called a Harlyquin set or did some come in one specific colour? I assume a set consisted of 4 cups 4 saucers 4 small plates 4 big plates a salt'n'pepper set, milk jug, suger bowl and cutlery, did the set include mugs and napkin rings? ( can't see my lot using napkin rings   ) I have bin on the lookout for mugs but they seem quite hard to find.......
Well I'm standin' on a corner in Winslow Arizona,
Such a fine sight to see!
Oh there's a girl my lord in a flat-bed ford,
Slowin' down to take a look at me! .....................( Wish I'd written that! )

i think you could specify all 1 colour...or mixed, and dont think the campers came that well equipped

x4 mugs
x4 cereal bowls
x4 small plates

cutlery

does anyone know for sure...i'm sure i have asked before, but memory like a sieve

:D

I've got about three complete sets buried in my boxes of bits. Hopefully get them out and photographed soon as everything is going back into the van.

I'be got 2500 pieces....OCD. Going for counselling . Brochures show harlequin sets.
Pale blue, pale brown, pale green, pale pink.
Set consists of four oval bowls, medium plates and mugs.
I do know of a velvet green kombi with a complete set of four pale brown everything.
That is an OG van which was ordered with this to go with a spaceway interior. It is the only one I know with a single colourway.
I think you could get away with cups and saucers in their place.
I am promised a pale brown mug by a forum member....
I managed to make up crockery for my sons 64 caravette with the pale yellow and pale turquoise as part of the harlequin colourway set.

Thank you Mr Saunders....and they even made a pointy topped lid with a cut out for the marmaladee spone!
(Marmalade Spoon to you sasanacks!)

Nice period advert! Pale Blue. It was made near to me by Barr Beacon and the workers were allowed to buy seconds cheaply...so lots of it appeared in Local householders with a neatly tuned out disc where the logo used to be. Made it to many a lasses bottom drawer! For years it appeared on the local car boot sales and a local individual satisfied his OCD behaviour by buying it all up...
None has appeared for years strangely and whenever I enquire they say...some bloke used to buy all of it..
Can't find any round here now...!

Any body we know..?

I bought my first items in the seventies a small set in 70's yellow and that was my downfall!
