I'd be up for this, be good to see other Devon's together.

Late July would be good, height of British Summer!

Is there a word of a group of Devons?? A herd, flock, troop........

If I can help with anything just let me know. Would be great to see some Devons back here.

Thanks for the offer Stu - I'll be in touch. I have a feeling this could be quite big - I've had loads of people saying they are coming.

Brian & Stu,
Are you going to tie this in with the J.P.W. Aviversary as mentioned in another thread?
I'm aiming for this as a deadline for my restoration so put me on the 'in the loop' list for this one please!
Dec 62 RHD Tintop Caravette MGR / PW (1 P/O) restoration here:

It may only be held on by 4 bolts; but one of them is a pain in the @ss to get to!

Indeed we are. All those on this and the other thread will be kept in the loop once we have firmed up on details.

Hi,

Just wondered if there was any update? Or possible dates?

Starting to fill up the 2013 calendar and don't want to book anything in for the same date.

Thanks

Right!!! Sorry about the delay but I've had a few probs.

It now looks as if the event will be going ahead on July 26-28 alongside the excellent Devon Dubfest at Bicton Park in sunny Devon. Martin and the gang who organise DDF are really keen to host SSVC and others and are up for the Devon event. So camping and entertainment will be there, swapmeet traders etc. There is already a lot of media interest.

Plans include
Parade of all the Devon years and conversions on Sidmouth seafront (providing the local authorities are happy with this)
Possible meeting up with the remaining White family and former employees of the Alexandria works.
Devon section of the show and shine.
Other possible surprises.

If we can get enough Devons along to this there will be opportunities to take pics, swap/sell parts, perv upholstery and other bits and of course to bore each other silly talking about Devons.
I need help to organise the details please partly because I have a health problem that may not be entirely sorted by then. If any local SSVC members or bayers can help then please pm me asap.

More later
