Nnnnngg, desperate to make a smutty joke....

That's cool, thanks. I'll have a look round to see if I can find anywhere that can do it.

Ah.... I think I might have hit a snag.

Eventually started sizing everything up against the rear backrest for the rear seat. I can't get the rear seat to sit far enough back for the rear seat base to reach the backrest.

Remember, this is a 61/62 ish interior in a 66 bus.

The question is: Is the later heater outlet bigger, or further forward than the earlier one? That's what the upright of the rear seat is hitting, so I can't move it back far enough.

Oh noes! Helps!

In the early busses the heater outlet is fixed welded to the floor and in the later ones it is mounted on outlets and in the Devons was screwed to the floor.
The profile of the opening for the early rear seat fronts varied over the years and changed from a pair of uprights at each end with an open front to an opening cut into a solid front for the later ones..
I'll post pictures over the years.
Dave has examples of early and late Devons with heater tubes, if you need measurements compared..
Bobley has posted drawings of the late rear seat base upright which you could use to compare with yours
Just a little mix and match needed to make it fit methinks.

I'll post pictures later!

Cheers.....

I think I'll need to clearance the upright on the rear seat, and possibly massage the heater outlet a little.

The whole thing needs to move back a good 70mm or so or the whole thing is out of whack as there won't be enough room between the 2 seats for the mag rack.

Well, I threw enough of my interior together to be able to camp in it last weekend and it worked!

I even had enough room in bed, and I'm not short!

Pics when it's more finished.....

Any questions ask away!
Thank you, very helpful. I’m looking for some pics of how my cooker unit attaches in my spaceway?
What hinges where used behind the wood cover bit? Also need dimensions for this wood bit.
Many thanks Nick

I already know what i'm building thanks, It's the later spaceway 1966 bus not a Torvette. , the Cooker unit is the later one with alloy strip on lid with roller support.
Was a piano hinge used on the later models? Had a look through brochures not really the any clues about hinges.
I'll work out though, thanks anyway.
