Devon Formica Requests Please

Post by bobley » Mon May 11, 2009 12:59 pm

I've orderred 6 sheets of Formica, 2 of the criss cross Virr Varr for the table tops, 2 Grey Muslin for the cupboard innards and 2 jet black shell finish.

The Virr Varr is on a 4 week lead time but its gone up in price to £53.69 a sheet excl VAT

The grey muslin and jet black are available off the shelf at £23.09 a sheet excl.

What I need to do is get some idea of demand so that I can work out the best way of cutting the sheets (3050 x 1300mm). Once I've done that I can price up the orders for everyone and ask for some deposits/payments as the total on my credit card today was £234 and I may end up paying £25 more for delivery....

I'm not sure how to price everything up just yet and how we arrange delivery ( I think shows will be the best route as it may be delicate) but I'm sure we'll work it out. I'm not taking any profit out of this but I'll probably add a bit of margin for a charitable donation to Helen and Douglas House (same as I did with the latch plates)

Well done fella - I only need a small amount - enough black and muslin to make up a cutlery unit. Let me know if you can fit me into an order.

hey bobley......thanks for picture and the offer   .....I will mention it to some of the others guys over here too that might be interested.

If people are keen for a wee bit I might be able to make delivery abit easier as I have my personal shipping agents (aka parents)!!! heading back to the UK around september time for a breif visit....If there was enough interest my end i could give you a UK address which would be alot easier and cheaper....I'll see what happens.....
ha ha ...I can hear my parents now!!....about 5 years ago I got them to bring back a bluebird 3m x 3m driveaway awning i had bought.....they took it on as hand luggage...and it just about gave my old man a hernia getting it into the overhead baggage bin!!! :D :D

thanks again matey :D

UPDATE

The Virr Varr will be arriving at the suppliers this thursday so hopefully I'll go and collect it on friday (all the other Formica is ready to collect).

Hopefully, if the weather is good next weekend I can lay it out in the garden and chop it up for you chaps.

Cheers
