Devonesque units....

Iv Just made some “devonesque” units for a friends lhd 1960 bus and I thought I would share some photos as Iv used this forum to gain so much devon info
He wanted a devon style cooker unit with a full height cupboard on the rear shelf.
I have most of an original 64 interior and few other bits that I used to reference from where possible.
I used original cranked hinges and my own pivot hinges and shoot bolt catches.

I know it won’t appeal to some people as it isn’t a proper devon lay out but Im quite happy with the results.
I will be making full lhd interior for my 62 this summer which I may start a thread for.

Here’s a few photos anyway. It hasn’t been fitted or had any varnish in these photos.

Very nice work - did you finish your bolt keeps in the end? I seem to remember you made a tool to make these...

I still haven’t finished them haha. I was looking into having them chromed but the price was through the roof. I’m still unsure what to do finish wise.
The ones I put on the unit above are just clear laquered for now.
Happy to sell you a couple in raw metal for you to finish yourself. Send me message if you like.
