Could be Curtain hooks for the bottom of curtains.
My Devonette did not have alloy rails. It had curtain wires top and bottom.
So the round eyes screwed in the end of the wire and the L items screwed into the VW interior panel/ door inner frame...
Previous owner may have fitted wires at the bottom.

Thanks G i did suspect this.
I have vague memory of them hurting my fingers un screwing them by hand.
There is some places on my door that look like they once held a bottom rail.
Strange thing is i remember every part that ever broke off that van as it pained me when it happened...but this has got meb puzzeled.
i will keep them till i find out for sure.
If anyone else can confirm what they are please do .

Devonette was a cheapo version..
No awning
No awning rail
No curtain rails
Just curtains on wires BUT hung on big rivets...Image

I was attempting to find some big blind rivets but I think I will check the hole size and fit an m3 or m4 rivnut. the sides will be trimmed with velour and so then simply piece and fit big headed screws.
Was looking to see if I could find flat plain domed fixings

My OG doors that are off waiting for resto do have the same rivets it seems. But i would remember taking them off ( I hope.)
I also tried to screw them in but the hole is to small ?
I would like to ask BJ1 about that but how do i find a member on here?

I still cannot see what that is!
Trim panel with cup and cushion headed slotted vw screw?
but above?

Is that a finger to catch and keep the curtain in place?

My rivet heads on my Devonette were definately not sat flush with the panels. They sat away from the panels like bollards..
Trouble is most of the front and rear NS of the bus panels had been replaced with Genuine replacement VW spares panels.
Think the bus had been rolled..
So did not have a full set.
The Holy roof had to come off and the side window inner panels were removed and all blasted inside and out.. primed inside and out so the soft alloy rivets disappeared.
BJ1 said they had curtain hooks scrwed into rivefs kn Devons I have never seen.
I will be sizing my remaining holes and drilling missing ones and either attempting to re rivet with large diameter rivets or more likely fit riv nuts to take machine screws.

Maybe like Westfalia?Image

Just to amuse all you Devon nerds..
This is what
"Blade Runner" hero Deckard showed me..
"Enhance square 37 of the photo in the Devonette brochure...."

you can see the curtain wire attached to the door...

but what else can you see?

Somone singed the curtains...

LOL..Image

what else? that it is held by screws?
im not sure what it is but seems to be a hold back for curtain of some kind .
it is unlikely to be added by the owner.
