Click on either of the pictures to go to full details but all the signs are there it was a factory Devon - UK RHD delivered to Ramsgate with the crucial "543 - Without seats in passenger area" which suggests someone was turning it into either a camper or a massively overspec'd delivery van.

Someone was selling a full set of aero papyrus on here recently I think? Don't know if it had cab panels or just the rear load area ones though.

The moving part over the cooker is a pull out seat yes it had a folding metal support leg which is what the screw holes on yours are for. This is the only photo I can find at the moment:

And here's a picture of the cooker cupboard:

Image

I think the hole allows access from the front / cooker side into the space that's made by the table leg locker behind the seat - the locker is full width but the lid to that portion doesn't lift up. I have no idea what the logic of making it this way around was rather than just allowing top access like the rest of the locker. Or maybe I have misunderstood how it slots together, I sold my 65 interior and my 62 has nothing so fancy on it.

A spaceway had a different rear layout so the easicool shelf would have mated up to it differently:

Wow thank you so much for the info.
I had no one to ask for so many years and now all the mysterys are be answered.
i would have been surprised if it were not a factory Devon but you had me wondering there.
Few bits that dont ad up though like the double 025 number ?
is that US-spec bumpers and 6 pop-out windows OR Mountinf for safety belts ?
As there is no sign of the US spec or popouts? and what is Mountinf for safety belts anyway?
also Complies with Swiss market regulation ? why would it ?

Your Bench seat looks like a standard front late Devon bench - (its got the easicool area angled leg where the whale tap would be normally be located under the easicool lift flap) - that's been cut down to fit the space left when they mounted the WT swinging cooker on the bulkhead.
(does your cooker swing by the way?)

The cubby slot you mention is where the cooker lid/cooker area is on mine - the cooker cabinet fits 'into' this slot and extends under the end leg holder cupboard and allows you keep small suacepans/kettle etc in this area.

Its a definite hybrid of several Devon features....

Interesting stuff. yes the cooker does/did swing out. I have the hindges and roller out ready for a resto.
so what held the cooker up? mine was always strangely floating.
And if it was fitted with whale tap how did the water get into it?
also did you say "table leg cupboard"? this that where you were meant to stow them?
my rear lower cupboard is fitted with slots that look like it should take cups etc?

There was a roller on the base to keep it in place

The fingers are cup hooks

Table leg cupboard is the long transverse one immediately behind the rear seats and yes it should just be a big hole.

A bulkhead interior had a crockery cupboard on the front most cargo door. I presume Ina Spaceway crockery was stored under the cooker unit?

On a post-63 bulkhead interior the water tank was mounted under the rear-facing seat so the tap was on the corner of that seat nearest the door.

On a Spaceway the tap and therefore the water tank was in the swing out cooker unit, usually in a hidden / closed off portion - you filled it in situ rather than removing to fill. I have seen some where this setup has been modified to turn the space into more accessible cupboard space

On a Spaceway there was no door mounted crockery cupboard. The melaware was stored in the small overhead cupboard opposite the tall cupboard. Some had cup hook fingers for the mugs.
