1965 MY cooker

Post by type21f » Tue May 16, 2017 6:57 pm

Well I have had a bad dose of conscience...
The "Keep it Stock" man may have a cooker too early supplied with his bus.. not too sure..

WTB a 1965 MY Dudley cooker for Peebles to replace my 6 months too early 1964 MY Dudley cooker..... so just testing to see if anyone has one for sale..

I do not want to swap I want to buy..

I have some limited spares to rebuild if needed but I do not have the carry frame n shield..

I don't have what you need but curious as to how you establish the MY of a Dudley? I have always been curious as to whether my 66 MY van has the correct Dudley?

I posted copies of the brochures at the top of the Devon thread and there are model pictures showing the model variants with semi distinct pictures.

Perhaps I should write a whole thread of what I believe I will extend this with micro images..

I will improve this entry..

Re: 1965 MY cooker

Defoe need a padding out of this topic!

I have three an Argyl and two versions of the Dudley, one which may be a 65 as it is a lift out version with the shield and the one in my bus for which I am looking for a shield the more modern looking Dudley. I was going to rob the shield from the earlier one but debating whether to fit the earlier one wholemeal into my bus.

I'll get pics when I am back in the country. If it is a 65 I have and I can find a shield for mine I might be able to help you out.

If you have pics of a 65 and a 66 version I may be able to identify remotely. This is what I have - is it correct for my '66 and where do I find a shield? (rhetorical question)

I will post pictures and dates as I find them to this post for the Devon nerds and then cut and paste all onto a new reference thread and seek a sticky status.

So comment away and add for discussion.

Image

** 1965 MY with frame and handles to lift out of cupboard with plate rack and tall shield. No leg plates.. designed just to sit on table..

** 1966 several variants depending on model

New World Argyl cooker etc

With carrying Frame and tall enclosed shroud for use outside, missing the plate rack at the top.
With Devon style leg plates on the base.
This one has the Dudley logo

You Devon lot, and your cookers. You should improvise.

Suggest you go down the patina cooker route :)

Is that you never fitted it... or it was not fitted to Pitt?

So did you or did you not search for a year correct cooker to fit?
Binary answer only allowed..

Yes or No?
