Re: Stocking filler?

Post by DOUGAL » Mon Nov 09, 2015 9:34 pm

I know it's still a bit early but if you are already thinking about what to get for stocking fillers this could be one of them.
I could even wrap the locks in christmas wrapping paper and send them to whoever you want (with a note to not open till christmas, if you like).
If you are interested have a look at the first page of this post for colours and prices.

Cheers,
Gertjan

No more christmas orders taken!
If you would like a pair you will have to wait till the new year now.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!

Hello,

Sorry for the confusion but the purpose is to lock the sliding window when you're driving?

It's not an "anti-theft" ? If yes I don't get the point :-/ sliding window is easy to open from outside without this?

best Regards

Steph

The purpose is to lock the window when parked..to remove the loop you have to push the button and operate the quarter light catch. It fits between the fixed upright finger of the sliding catch and the closed locked quarter light catch.
With the catch in place it reduces the ability to operate the sliding catch from outside.....So it improves security....
Is that not anti-theft?

dubberdean wrote:Front cab sliding windows. You have a small spring loaded catch with a locating peg that you squeeze and slide the window back. But because of the tolerances in the glass, the frame, the catch etc on a lot of buses you can literally push the glass up and slide it back, meaning instant access to the cab. This is the bus equivalent of a security chain on your front door, can only be removed from the inside and stops the glass being slid back by the unscrupulous.

I have a short set for locked closed windows and a long set for ppp vents so can leave vents in place when parked up. In Black.
I will be ordering the same for Sherry.
I will be ordering Red!
Very good simple but effective items.....

Thanks!

It makes sense obviously as I didn't know it was so easy to push our windows back from outside!
