Hi DS Bus. I'd like to sort out one of these kits for a rhd bus. It's not urgent as they wont start the resto until march when it will be on a body roller. It will be the ideal time to take out the steering box and when they're repairing the underneath they might as well install one of these as well.

Please can you explain what I need to do with regards to getting the machining work done (what you need me to supply etc) I might as well get the lot done by you so I can be sure it's done properly.

I'm a bit clueless on what is done when the box is lifted and the thread is so long I got lost after page 3. So you'll need to give me full instructions on what you need!

Cheers

Question for everyone that has theirs lifted....

How do you top up your steering box oil level?

Do you leave it and forget it?

Do you fill with liquid grease?

Do you drop the steering box down once a year?

Do you cut an access hole in the chassis rail to access the filling plug?

i'll be after one of these very soon!... i have skipped through this thread as i dont have the time to read it all the way through tonight.... but noticed talk of a "Box Balm" kit..??? i have an inch or so of play in my steering box... replaced pitman arm etc... i think the play is in splined pin that exits the steering box and is atached to the steering arm... it seems to have some up and down movement in it... a little like it needs bushing

Probably need a RHD kit after BB. Actually might be able to collect at BB if you're there this year?

WHS ^. Fitted mine last weekend, cut out and welded in chassis section and re-fitted box in a day.
Thanks for a great kit Mike.
