I have the same issue with mine, specifically with the rears,I think the profile is for the earlier pressed 1950s bumpers as mine are out my a good inch or two and they certainly aren't easy to bend! Can anyone give me a solution please.

The rears are the problem my restorer thinks they need to be annealed?!

Annealing aluminium isn't that simple though, it is a fine line between heating and melting!
Are deluxe trims designed for earlier pressed bumpers a different profile to later slash cut rear bumper trims? I think that is the issue. The trims are designed for earlier bumpers, perhaps.

no, do not do the annealing... just a little tap is fine. The aluminum is soft enough to be bent by tapping.

Hi There, How do i order these bumper trims? I have a South African Splitty that was built in Brazil with the towel rail style bumpers that slash up and backwards, do you know which trims i would need, i have a photo but for some reason i cant post them here, maybe you can send me an email address where i could send you a picture just to be 100%?

Kind Regards

Paul

Hi Pat,
Just a little helper try to make your 1's not look like 7's as customs charged me £180. Payable upfront, in the process of trying to get a refund.

Hi Pat, they should, they have the PayPal information etc.
Just for everyone else thinking of getting some trim. Pat has been brilliant from start to finish and the product looks great also.

Thanks Pat
