Just have 3 or 4 tabs open, all ready to bid. Saves a few pennies as you don't have to enter your full maximum (Most of the time......)

It's a buzz when you win but a right bummer when you lose.
I tried buying some carbs off a bloke who also had them on ebay and offered xxx for them and said I'd pick them up within the week. He said he was looking for quite a bit more for them so I upped my offer but he said he'd leave them on eBay and that I should bid on them and I might get a good deal. I watched them for the next couple of days and on the last day started bidding. With about 20 minutes to go I put in what I'd offered him in the first place then watched the countdown almost wetting myself. Yessssssss  I got them for 100 quid cheaper than I'd offered   I did cack myself a bit though as I didn't hear from him for a week 8O then he called me up and I met him to pick them up and he said he was a bit gutted but laughed and said good for me, I got a deal. Fair play to the bloke, he didn't welch on the deal.
I also spent a week watching some pads for a raleigh night burner and on the day they were ending sat with 2 computers ready. One to watch the countdown and one ready to bid. Got my bid in with about 2 seconds to go and thought I'd nailed it. Mwaaahhhh :( :( someone sniped me :( I was gutted for about a week.
Now I just bang in my maximum and walk away, I either get it or I don't, my blood pressure might not be able to handle the rush/disappointement

Then there are the really stupid folk on there!

Anyone remember the silver Polo GTi I bought?

I was watching that and had a maximum figure in mind. I called the guy and we agreed a price.... Very very cheap! He wouldn't take it off as I hadn't paid him.

Hesitantly I got a lift to where it was, but on the day the auction had gone £140 over what we had agreed on!!!

I called him mid journey and he said, if I had cash in my pocket it was mine.

I got the car for £140 less than what it was on EBay, and the auction still had 4 days to go!!!

After thoroughly checking the vehicle thinking I was being scammed or waiting too see if Mr Beadle was going to pop out, I asked him why he was selling it.

He said he didn't trust the people that eBay attracted.

Confused I handed over the cash and drove away smiling!
