last second outbid on ebay

Post by japher » Sun Oct 27, 2013 7:55 pm

i'm so angry right now here's proper full on and well called for grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :x:

bidding on a towbar for my 67 bus and been checking it all day every 20mins or so, even put in nearly 4 times as much as the starting bid figured i'd be ok. Watching the minutes count down then the seconds thought cool i may even grab a bargain then ..................... horror strikes the red "you've been outbid" warning message pops up and before i could even touch the screen blam its over

well to the person that won good luck and i hope you choke on it and its a nightmare to fit you bang your knuckles at every turn of the wrench.

thanks again ebay for ruining a great weekend......

ps anyone selling a towbar?

That's ebay dude. You snooze you lose.

I'm also a last second sniper. Works a treat.

Top post is pointless really.

You bid the maximum you want to spend. You don't win.... Someone was prepared to pay more. So how can you be annoyed?

I even use an app to place my max bid at the last second.

If I don't win it, someone obviously wanted it more than me.

Move onto next.

I love the last 2 mins of an eBay auction! When you've been out bid.... That mad scrabble to enter a higher bid....

Brilliant.

There's nothing better than outbidding people that use sniper apps and software. Such a buzz as said before.

They'll be another tow bar. You could even get some pics and make one yourself.

Try the 'goof bid' app bud, again, not guaranteed if someone is prepared to pay more but gets those last minute bids in for you.

To all ,
I know exactly how eBay works I just fancied having a good ole rant , felt awfully good getting it off my chest, all fine and cool again today !!!

Just was very busy with kids and life yesterday so thought for a change I'd stick my bid in early just incase I missed out , guess that plan backfired anyways

Ps thanks for the tips re late bid apps , very handy although I'll have to find something else to rant about now :D

You may not... my snipe didn't register once, and although i was sitting infront of my computer watching the seconds tick down, my bid never went through and the item sold for £300 when my bid was £1200... and i've never seen these for sale before or since! It was 5 years ago and it still hurts :(

Now i like to do it the old fashioned way!

I've just had a fantastic win on EBay and as it didn't get the money the seller wanted, he said to eBay he ha made a mistake in the listing and eBay took his word.

I never got what I legally won.

Ggrrrrr
