I once got asked to do a display at The Metro Centre (a local shopping centre) I left the cargo doors open so people could look inside. I went for a brew and looked down from the upstairs balcony to see someone opening the rear hatch and giving their kid a 'bunk up' !!!! WTF !!!

I went downstairs to see the kid climbing all over my interior - I asked the kid and the parents to get him out of there. Only to be told £$@$ off !!!

After a heated verbal exchange they kicked my sign and walked off

They thought I was in the wrong for being rude and why couldn't the kid play in my van ?

Cheeky F£@$%@£$%

After that I closed and locked the doors

No respect !

I printed a "No Entry" sign off the internet laminated it and then strung it between the opening for the two cargo doors. People can look but the message is clear!

I had to resort to this after finding children playing hide and seek in the cupboards, not great when my SO42 interior is 99% complete and original!

That's why I bought a heap of **** school bus! Lol.

Seriously though, the young kids don't know any better, it's the lack of respect from the parents.

It seems like a lot of kids today are actually the ones in charge!

Not at our house, me & the kids all get a good slap on the leg if we step out of line by Mrs C.

Sometimes I misbehave on purpose though as secretly I enjoy it!!

We were asked to display the Slambo at a local Emergency services show last year.
I printed & laminated a "please treat me gently I'm old & precious" type sign hung between the cargo doors to deter rioting kids.

We popped off for 10 minutes to catch up with a mate, came back to find all the lights on, a kid sat in the cab, kids in the back & the safari window catch snapped off.
Never again! (Although I did get to drive the full length of the runway, lights & sirens on & made some kids cry so not all bad!)

I used to use my Bay as a photobooth. Left it for a few mins at a charity affair inside Mercedes World at Brooklands. Came back to find it full of people, all with drinks. Told them to get out, whicj they did.

Didn't leave it again.
