£50 to £200 would buy a total restoration job. £400 for a runner. £600 to £800 got you a decent van with a 12 months MOT, and £1200 and above could put you in the upper crust and potential Concours entrant.
There was just a couple of left hookers about then. Vast majority were Devons and Canterbury Pitts etc.,

yes, my pal bought a couple of later 60s splits in quick succession in about 1989/1990
both local (Bedfordshire), pretty original, rhd, mot'd
both around £400
he rolled one
the other one (67) he had done in a very typical B289 style (peach, solenoid doors, etc)
sold it around 92/93, £2200 - said there was a queue out the door for it!

No, I'm not on that photo, but I was there and I've still got the tee shirt......and what's more, it still fits!

The bus in the far left of the first pic, 2076 NE was mine for a while, bought it for £250 as a project after all the filler had cracked, exposing the wooden sills, then sold it on for £750 a while later..

Peter Nicholson always was bit of a dick though wasn't he Fifer

.....and all members sported the club tea shirts (except little Jack, don't think that we had one small enough)
