Can we help a buddy from Australia....

Post by Julian Hunt » Tue Sep 04, 2012 6:59 pm

We got a message through the BWA website and I'm not sure of the best answer, but hopefully someone here will be able to offer some good advice.... Thank you!!!!

Hi I'm currently working on a engine build for my 1965 DC and thought you might be able to hep me. I'm looking at installing seat belts and a harness in the driver seat. What have you used in your buses? Have you changed the drivers seat to a racing seat with the harness attached? Regards Scott

Hi

So I'm the Australian needing a little help.

I've been looking at race seats but the help from any stores has been awful.

What seats and harness setups have people used in their buses?

I've seen these:

http://www.gogear.com.au/products/race-seats
http://www.searleraceequipment.com.au/s ... y/velo/105

I run a DC ute and just want to replace the driver seat, 1/3 2/3 setup.

Any recommendations?

Scott

I used a seat from VW Heritage in mine, it's an Empi so you can probably get in OZ

I got my seat belt from Demon Tweaks here in the UK - Sparco belt - 5 point - there are lots of these type of belts that will fit but you just have to make sure the straps are long enough.
