Only me then......

Post by 67USA » Sun Jul 22, 2012 9:58 pm

Went to Bugjam over the weekend, got a little RWYB in on the Friday, well only two runs before the rain stopped play.....

1st with allot of wheelspin and got a 17.70 @ 74.54mph, then another at 17.49 @ 74.28 mph...

the van was fairly full of fuel and I was taking it easy in 1st gear on my £30 gearbox!!!!

with less fuel and mastering the take off I recon there a mid 16 in it hopefully, but next time down the strip it migh weigh more when I finally finish the interior off!!

I'll post a link to the vids on Facebook/you tube latter in the week.. I've got my timing slip here took... Just wonderd how you 'join up' now???

i was also quite shock to see no other air cooled busses on the strip at all all weekend!!
there was two other busses, both Subaru powered tho, a the Tattitude single cab and a white double cab with wide5 slotmags....

just surprised there was no one else there really...

so let me know what I need to do to join dudes... Cheers Alex

I think as long as your in the ssvc and you run a sub 18 seconds and have your timing slip to prove it and there is a member present at the show you should be ok.
Can't remember who the 6 are but Rikki James and vwjim are founders.
Hopefully one of the 6 will be present when you race!
Jules who runs the site is very helpful too Pm him and I'm sure he will help.

As I understand it, even if you weren't a member of the SSVC at the time of the run, that as long as you join shortly afterwards the run still counts.
