Hello guys!
Just a tip-off, maybe some of you plan a trip to Scandinavia next summer - anyway:

"Scandinavian Cal-look Classic 2008
We are pleased to announce that SCC will be held on the weekend 22-24 August 2008. More info to follow soon!
Book the date now!"

The famous grip on the Gardermoen Raceway tarmac will be there next year, too. But the 2008 event it will be available to air-cooled VWs ONLY - for two days! There will be all levels of competition, from originals to high-end 9 sec racecars, but I would really LOVE to see any BWA bus attend this racing event! Racing, show and shine, camping, party - it all seems to be adding up to the best event in Norway, possibly in Scandinavia, next year!

Hope to see you there!
brgds
RZR-Andy
PS! I am not part of the organizing, just letting you all know! For further info, check out

I was at this years one as i am currently living in Oslo - to be honest i wasn't expecting much however there was some top top cars there that just literly blow you away. I really wasn't expecting that level of quality - i'm sure we have all seen the 850hp beetle built by a blind man - and thats just one of them - in case you havn't - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJ_upA5xLdM
However, don't expect Bug Jam levels of night time entertainment or bar or entertainment tent - it's all a much more sedate affair at night time - round camp fire stuff -ie boys only - the wife will only complain for lack of dancin! :D

Oh eye - bring your own sauages for breakfast the next morning - they charge £13 for a pack of 3 here!!!! 8O

Mind you if you do come it would be rude not to stay for a week, tour round Oslo and then the following week take part in the VW Oslo club cruise for Bogstad camping - one of the best events that i have done. On the Sat they arrange for a police escort to close off sections of Oslo so you can follow through the main streets - a right buzz - the police even close down the main motorway through Oslo for the cruise and then through the main streets where people gawp, clap and take photos - try 'celebrity' stuff
Approx 60 cars took part this year and the event has been running for approx 5 years so no sign of it not happening next year - some pics - keep your eyes peeled -10 points for spotting a big daft Scottish bugger!
