Is there any other difference from late and early? Would that mean the interior wouldn't be the metal one like yours, that looks really cool?

What used to be in the back of yours? In this picture

it looks like something else used to be bolted to the floor?

Sorry for all the ?'s :)

According to David Eccles the metal kitchenette & cabinets only appeared in early MW interiors; in 1963 the kitchenette changed to Formica.

My interior is complete except for the folding table; nothing else bolts to the floor. What you are seeing are the base plates that the seats rest on and the dimples for the table legs.

We have had 3 8O

A 64 Dormobile, which had the pop top but no interior, that was sold in 94 and was last spotted in Kent somewhere (id love to know if its still about reg was CPA702B)

We also had a 62 which was light brownish & white, with full metal style interior which we sold at about the same time, it needed some work bnut wasnt too bad, i last saw that at a show about 5 years ago, fully restored but with earlier lights grafted in the back and red & white. Cant remember the guys name who had it, but id be very surprised if its not still on the road :)

We also had one other another 64 with full metal interior, that we bought of derrick J who had it for years, it went to someone we knew, who then sold it on, thats in east anglia somewhere being put back on the road :D

I love those interiors but they do look a bit like an ambulance!!

Ive got a 64 that is currently under resto, will post some pics soon.

Only got about half of the original interior...

It was also used in the film 'Ipcress Files' (first five mins of the film, does a drive by in one shot, parked up in the other) - I only found this out after I began the re-spray :(

Hey, hi and yes I'm somewhat 12 years late LOL - just one of those searches what brings up an ancient post! Cut to the chase... I think my Dorm'b is the earliest around - it's a May 62 and they only started doing them in late 61 as far as I know. Good to see another metal interior version! Let me know if you're receiving this before I go into too much depth... I started asking about how many Dormobiles were about once before!
