I think - I'm missing this bit as well, thought it was just the hinge.. I've been using a long piece of wood to hold lid open.

Read this thread , never had a spring on my van.

so bought this seems a bit cheaper than other suppliers.

Not totally accurate, but maybe youre not fussy.
